Unreleased Super Mario game

Image
Super Mario’s Wacky Worlds was an unreleased Mario world sequel for the Phillip’s CDI console. It would have involved Mario exploring levels based on historic places, such as Egypt and the Trojan horse, along with unique themed levels such as jungles, haunted houses, etc. it was eventually scrapped, due to the commercial failure of the Phillip’s CDI console. The image above is one of the only three known prototype discs left. This is sad, because this definitely could have been one of the greatest games on the CDI, and would’ve been a great addition to the Mario series.

Doshin The Giant secret image

Doshin The Giant on the Nintendo GameCube has an unused image of a child, most likely just a placeholder image. I wonder if this kid knows that they are in the game.

Mother 3

Image
Mother 3 was originally gonna be a N64DD game. The original creator, Shigesato itoi, originally wanted it to be a Nintendo 64 disk-drive title, and kept working on it and pushing the release date, but because of the massive flop that was the DD, eventually Shigeru Miyamoto convinced him to release it on the GameBoy Advance. The 64 game was about 60% complete when it was abandoned.

Super Mario 64 has an unused version of the wing from the wing cap, that would appear if both the wing cap and the metal cap were activated at the same time. In the finished game, no levels have both the wing cap and the metal cap in the same place, although in the files of the level snowman’s land, data shows that originally, both the wing and metal cap would appear together in the same level.

Nintendo cereal system

Discontinued 1989 Mario and Zelda cereal box. I wonder what it tasted like. Each box had two cereal types.
